After a whole day of workshops and activities throughout the building (each organized by different friends of the couple), weeping wedding guests witness the happy couple consecrate their vows to build a life together by donning safety goggles and building a stool out of 2x4s in order to reach a hanging pitcher of water. Having retrieved the pitcher, they will fill each other’s glasses and then toast their loved ones with heartfelt words. (Officiated by Jerone)

From weddings to memorials, we are here to support you in making your lifetime event something as singular as you and your loved ones.
Our network includes New York State registered marriage officiants, people who have run workshops on death/dying (we hosted and facilitated the Reimagine End of Life Summit for practitioners in 2019), and people who bring their full presence to the situation.
We can be your venue-based team for many aspects of your event:
Catering (food, drink, and service)
Design (print, digital, motion, and event)
Hosting & Performing (emceeing, facilitation, reading, special performances, and officiation)
EVENT INQUIRY FORM
We are a cooperatively run community center. Unlike a traditional event rental space, we do not have a special events staff; all event hosting labor is heartfully managed and shouldered by members of our cooperative. All incoming event inquiries are vetted and coordinated by our Event Committee.
After our events review, we will reach out to you with any clarifying questions and to schedule a visit if your event is a good fit for our space. We evaluate event submissions based on the availability of the space, the availability of a member host, and to ensure that events hosted in the space are not at odds with our co-op’s mission. That said, we cast a wide net in an effort to promote diversity in our space. Our rates are reflective of the services we offer and the costs of keeping our building open!
Our Events Committee meets weekly, so you should generally expect to hear back regarding your inquiry within 1 week, although sometimes it may take 2 weeks. Thanks for your understanding!
